The RDS Story

The RDS Story

Rhythm Diagnostic Systems evolved from conversations between Bruce O'Neil, M.D. and Sam Eletr, Ph.D., regarding the shortcomings of current ambulatory heart monitoring devices.

In May 2012, Dr. Eletr and Dr. O'Neil enlisted Mr. George Golda, a seasoned electrical engineer and former colleague of Dr. Eletr, to join them in the quest for a novel approach. Mr. Golda explored existing technologies and initial designs, while Drs. O'Neil and Eletr explored the market's need for novel approaches with expert cardiologists and gauged the interest in financing these approaches with seasoned investors.

The positive feedback and interest they received encouraged them, in August 2012, to seed the formation of a new company with Mr. Golda and two other co-founders, Mr. Dan Moyer, an electrical engineer and former colleague of Mr. Golda, and Mr. Mark Marriott, a software engineer and former colleague of both Dr. Eletr and Mr. Golda. Shortly thereafter, another former colleague of Dr. Eletr, Mr. Golda and Mr. Marriott, Ms. Kathy San Roman, joined the company as a part-time Chief Financial Officer. RDS also secured the services of an IP attorney, Mr. Peter Scull, of Hamilton, DeSanctis and Cha, LLP.
